I bought an idea
It was shiny in someone else’s head
But in mine
it turned to molasses and ash.
You can burn
the molasses and ash
and try to make it work.
But it’s only energy
It’s not mass
And mass is the stuff of life.

I think this is deep, but I’m too stupid to understand it.

I was thinking about self help books and talks and what have you. People who sound like they have the right plan but when you try to put it in your life it just stops being so easy, so clear, so right.
